{"id":23,"date":"2023-07-12T09:47:39","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T09:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiepwestendorp.nl\/fiepamsterdam\/?page_id=23"},"modified":"2026-02-19T10:35:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T10:35:37","slug":"fiep-westendorp-foundation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fiepwestendorp.nl\/fiepamsterdam\/fiep-westendorp-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"FW Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Doelstellingen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bij haar overlijden, op 3 februari 2004, heeft Fiep Westendorp de rechten op haar werk en haar bezittingen nagelaten aan de door haar ingestelde Stichting Fiep Westendorp Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Fiep Westendorp Foundation financiert een aantal projecten waaronder de Fiep Westendorp <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiepwestendorp.nl\/fiepamsterdam\/fiep-westendorp-foundation\/stimuleringsprijzen\/\">Stimuleringsprijzen<\/a> en de bijzondere leerstoel illustratie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. De foundation is medeoprichter (samen met Illustratie Bi\u00ebnnale) en medefinancier van de stichting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.illustratieambassade.nl\/over-de-illustratie-ambassade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Illustratie Ambassade<\/a> een platform dat Nederlandse illustratiesector ondersteunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Fiep Westendorp Foundation heeft sinds de oprichting subsidies verstrekt aan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiepwestendorp.nl\/fiepamsterdam\/fiep-westendorp-foundation\/projecten\/\">externe projecten<\/a> gericht op de culturele vorming van kinderen die het om wat voor reden dan ook moeilijk hebben. Het bestuur van de foundation heeft in verband met de ontwikkeling van nieuwe beleidsplannen besloten de tweejaarlijkse aanvraagrondes voor projectsubsidies met ingang van 2025 te be\u00ebindigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bijzondere hoogleraar Illustratie <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De bijzondere leerstoel illustratie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam is in 2007 ingesteld dankzij de Fiep Westendorp Foundation. De hoogleraar houdt zich bezig met het publiceren over het onderzoeksterrein van illustratie, het geven van onderwijs en begeleiden van promotieonderzoek. Sinds 2017 wordt de positie bekleed door prof. dr.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/emiliesitzia.com\/\">Emilie Sitzia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Illustratie Ambassade<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vanaf 2020 heeft de mede door de FWF gefinancierde Illustratie Ambassade in vijf jaar tijd een digitaal platform opgebouwd en zijn tentoonstellingen, podcasts en andere activiteiten voor illustratoren georganiseerd.
