At her death, on 3 February 2004, Fiep Westendorp left the rights to her work as well as her possessions, to the Fiep Westendorp Foundation that had been set up by her. The Foundation then gave an exclusive, long-term and general operating license to Fiep Amsterdam Ltd (formerly PévandePé Ltd, later Illustre Ltd). Fiep Amsterdam Ltd thereby acquired the right to exploit Fiep Westendorp’s intellectual property rights. The profits that this generates, is paid out to the Foundation. Fiep Westendorp appointed Gioia Smid as the official guardian of the quality of the use of her entire oeuvre. Pim & Pom Ltd is a subsidiary of Fiep Amsterdam Ltd.

Fiep Amsterdam Ltd is registered at the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce under number 33.27.16.82 .

Outside of the Neterlands
The broadcasting rights to animation series The Adventures of Pim & Pom have so far been sold to broadcasting companies in Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Japan, Turkey, Bosnia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Estonia, South Korea, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco.
