Otje in Margriet

In 1979 Otje was published for the first time in the women’s magazine Margriet. This series
of stories was introduced as a big new series of stories to be read and read aloud, for everyone who was young at heart. Fiep made more than eighty illustrations for this series.

Otje and her father Tos ride around in a van. Tos is a chef, but his papers have accidentally
been eaten up by red tape. As a chef without papers, he is an illegal employee. He is exploited
and dismissed again and again. Otje is a great support to her hottempered father. She is cheerful and inventive and gets on very well with animals. In 1980 Otje was published by Querido as a book.
