fiep kunstacademie Rotterdam

After graduating with flying colours from the Royal College of Arts and Crafts in ’s Hertogenbosch, in 1938 Fiep was admitted to the Art Academy in Rotterdam.

‘I had a broad training, and I have always been glad of that. What I wanted to do most was illustrations, but
a teacher said to me: “If you want to make a certain kind of music, you should practise many kinds of music”. So I studied all drawing and painting techniques.’
