After secondary school Fiep’s parents let her go to the Royal College of Arts and Crafts in ’s Hertogenbosch. She went to college every day by bus. In addition to the artistic subjects, she also had to attend classes in Technical German and French, and descriptive geometry.
This
last subject was a stumbling block for Fiep, but she was the only girl in the class and the boys
helped her through those difficult subjects.
