ANIMATION SERIES ‘DE AVONTUREN VAN PIM & POM’
(‘THE ADVENTURES OF PIM & POM’)
Premièred at the Cinekid festival October 26, 2008

The animation series ‘The adventures of Pim and Pom’ was premiered at the Cinekid film festival in the Ketelhuis cinema on the grounds of the Westergasfabrief in Amsterdam.
The premiere was one big party. Six of the episodes were shown on the big screen and the children clearly enjoyed them all. The filmcrew, screenplay writer Fiona van Heemstra, animator Marieke van Middelkoop, voiceover actress Georgina Verbaan, composer Alex Debicki and director Gioia Smid each received a bouquet of flowers.

By correctly answering a question in a competition one of the children had won a real live cat from the Pussycat boat. Georgina Verbaan congratulated the winner and explained the purpose of the Pussycat boat. She also expressed the hope that the winner’s parents were also happy to have won a cat!
All the children received a red Pim and Pom carrybag containing the book Pim and Pom, friends forever and the magazine Bobo with the first Pim and Pom story and a toy.

Beginning in November 2008 the tv station Nickelodeon broadcast all of the episodes as part of it’s young kids programming Nick Jr. The films show the various adventures of Pim and Pom. They are afraid of the hoover, go looking for a job, want to go camping or take part in the Olympic games.
